W.Howard is continuing to expand its expert team with two new appointments across sales and marketing.
The leading MDF profile manufacturer has appointed Tony Boon as National Sales Manager, while Matthew Potts has now completed his apprenticeship with the company and become W.Howard’s new Marketing Assistant.
Tony Boon started at W.Howard in January 2023 and will manage all the group’s internal and external sales activities, promoting all W.Howard’s product ranges. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the builders’ merchants and construction sectors, with a strong background in both joinery and building materials.
Tony said: “I am really excited to be taking on the role as National Sales Manager at such an exciting time for the Group. I'm looking forward to working with such a great team, as well as having the opportunity to expand the brand further in the market, so that it continues to be the MDF profile brand of choice for both the builders’ merchant and the end user.”
Matthew Potts has been an apprentice with W.Howard since October 2020, working across both the sales and marketing departments to learn more about the business and develop his skills.
The W.Howard team has been very impressed with his work over the past two years, and now that Matthew has successfully completed his Level 3 Digital Marketer Qualification with North Lancs Training Group, they were pleased to be able to offer him a full-time position as Marketing Assistant.
Reporting to Group Marketing Manager Emma Harmer, Matthew will be responsible for day-to-day marketing and social media activities for W.Howard, to raise awareness of its full range of quality MDF profiles.
Matthew said: “I’m thrilled to be able to continue with W.Howard now that my apprenticeship is complete. I have really enjoyed working with the team while developing my marketing skills.”
Graham Williams, W.Howard Group Managing Director, said: “At W.Howard we are always looking to recruit and retain the best possible team, and I am delighted that Tony has joined us as National Sales Manager. Tony’s experience is well-known and respected across the sector, and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.
“Matthew has deeply impressed us in his time as an apprentice, and I am very pleased to have been able to offer him a full-time position as Marketing Assistant as he embarks on his marketing career.”
