This week is National Apprenticeship Week, where companies across all sectors come together to celebrate the value, benefits and opportunities that apprenticeships can bring to businesses, all while learning valuable life skills.
Apprenticeships give people a fantastic opportunity to learn while they earn, with younger people often getting their first opportunity to step into the world of work to gain relevant skills and experience.
At W.Howard we have a long history of welcoming and supporting apprenticeships right across the Group, with previous apprentices spending time working in departments including marketing, sales, production and much more.
Currently we have two apprentices working with us. Luanne-Mae Dean is our Digital Marketing Apprentice, while Damon Green has joined us as a Manufacturing Engineer Apprentice. Both are proving to be a fantastic addition to the W.Howard Group family, learning more about the world of work and discovering how diverse a career in building material supply can be to build on their previous academic experience.
